I've been following and drooling over both Aran Goyoaga's gorgeous food & lifestyle blog and the amazing trips over at Ace Camp for the past few years. So when the opportunity come up this year, I snatched up a spot for this workshop as soon as possible.
The workshop was jam-packed. I shot about 2,000 photos. Even though the workshop itself was on food photography, Aran also incorporated portraits lessons. Personally, because of my background as a home stager, I loved the French chateau we were staying. There were a lot of great textures and patina of the 400-year-old home that I found very charming (even though some of the closed rooms were borderline creepy and one of the group members may or may not have saw a ghost).
Personally, the most nerve-wracking part of the workshop was to present our work in the end. We had to edit and select our shots to build a cohesive story. My story was about this particular trip, how I was inspired by the home itself and my fellow travelers.
